Youth summer art workshops provide fantastic opportunities for kids and teens to explore mediums like painting, photography, mixed media, ceramics and more. We offer engaging, multi-day programs designed to nurture creativity while building practical artistic skills in a fun environment. Clay and More Clay
Youth will create a work of art working with clay which will be glazed and fired in the kiln. Final masterpiece will be displayed in the workshop exhibit. All supplies are included in the cost of the class. Snacks are included in this 2 day workshop. Total cost is $20.
Acrylics
Youth will learn to paint in the Picasso and Braque inspired style of cubism. Project will be a portrait on canvas that will be displayed in the workshop exhibit. All supplies are included in the cost of the class. Snacks are included in this 2 day workshop. Total cost is $20.
Watercolor
Youth will be introduced to watercolor as a painting medium. They will learn the unique properties of watercolor. Final project will be displayed in the workshop exhibit. All supplies are included in the cost class. Snacks are included in this 2 day workshop. Total cost is $20.
Paper Mache
Youth will create a small sculpture using paper mache and paint. All supplies are included in the cost of the class. Snacks are included in this 2 day workshop. Total cost is $20.
Photography
Youth will learn to take better pictures by learning basics about lighting and composition. Youth needs to bring their own camera or phone to take pictures. Photos will be displayed in the workshop exhibit. Snacks are included in this 2 day workshop. Total cost is $20.
Jewelry
Youth will make jewelry using legos. Youth will learn that items in their homes can be used to make something else with a little imagination and tools. All supplies are included in the cost of the class. Snacks are included in this 1 day workshop. Total cost is $20.
Wet Felting
Youth get ready to squish, swish, and create! Using fluffy wool, soap, and water, youth will turn soft fibers into vibrant felted art. They will display unique pieces in the workshop exhibit. Wear clothes that can get wet, and bring 2 old bath towels. Other supplies are included. Snacks are included in this 3 day workshop. Total cost is $20.
Embroidery
Youth will learn basic stitches. They will learn to thread needles and tie a knots. They will transform a basic bag into a beautiful work of art by using a needle, threads, and their imagination. Bag will be displayed in the workshop exhibit. Snacks are included in this 2 day workshop. Total cost is $20.
Writing
Youth will write a piece in the Ekphrastic Writing style. They will write in response to a piece of art. This develops their skills. Work will be displayed in the workshop exhibit. Snacks are included in this 1 day workshop.
Mosaic
Youth will use pre-cut stained glass to create a piece of art. There are no sharp edges. No cutting tools will be used. Work will be displayed in the workshop exhibit. Snacks are included in this 2 day workshop. Total cost is $20.
Zentangle
Youth will learn to produce non-representational art and enjoy mindful creativity using the meditative Zentangle® method. Snacks are included in this 2 day workshop. Total cost is $20.
Drawing
Youth will learn basic portrait proportions and experiment with collage elements. One of the drawings will be displayed in the workshop exhibit. Snacks are included in this 2 day workshop. Total cost is $20
More Than Just Canvas
Youth will use primary colors in acrylic paint to paint a small pre-cut wooden puzzle. They will learn color theory and the versatility of paint. Final work will be displayed in the workshop exhibit. Snacks are included in this 2 day workshop.
