Art Link Studio

Next to the Gallery, the Art Link is the event center for meetings, workshops, and hands-on creation of art. 

It is a studio/working space for painting, clay/ceramics, stained glass, airbrushing, modeling and sketching for life art, and much more.

Clay and Ceramics 9AM - 1PM 

Open Studio for clay artists


  • Every 1st and 3rd Monday 

Mission Bee 9AM - 2PM:

Traditional Quilting Bee, creating home and gift items using machine and hand quilting. 


  • Every 2nd and 4th Monday 

Fiber Arts 10AM - 12PM

 Sharing artistic uses for fabric and other fibers in combination with paint and found ephemera.  

  • Open Studio 6:30PM-9PM

Studio is open to artists and members of all mediums

  • Open Studio 9AM-1PM

  • Clay and Ceramics 9AM-1PM

Open Studio for clay artists

  • Experimental Art group 10AM-12PM

 Creative studio time for experimenting in different mediums, styles, techniques...for those who want to break into some fresh expressions of art--designed for fun and exploration. 

  • Open Studio 9AM-12PM

Studio is open to artists and members of all mediums


  • Clay and Ceramics 6PM-9PM

Clay Artists start the Kiln and Fire their projects on Fridays


  • Paper Crafters 6PM-9PM

Studio is open for Paper Crafters to work on their projects. 

Bring your own materials or come visit to see what this group does.

 

  • Watercolor Society 9PM-1PM

Meetings for the Hidalgo Watercolor Society held in the front section of the Art Link


  • Life Drawing 10AM-1PM

Studio is reserved for Live Human Figure Drawings with graphite, charcoal, etc.

Session frequency depends on available Models 


  • Photography 10AM-12PM

Every 3rd Saturday.  

Gallery is open for Photography questions, planning of photography exhibits, field trips, open to suggestions from members on direction of group.  

Studio is Closed on Sundays

UVAL Art groups

General

 

Within the UVAL membership, some artists join others with similar interests. 

These groups schedule their own meetings, plan workshops, and have other activities. 

They are able to communicate information  within their group through texts, emails, telephone, and WhatsApp. 

 Joining a group is optional and is not required
